Making new exhaust steam pipe for loco No2 rebuild project

Work continues on the rebuilding project to convert loco No2 into a Hunslet quarry style saddle tank.

  • The reversing valve was dismantled and fitted with new O rings
  • A new exhaust steam pipe was made from 1/8" copper pipe and fitted to a Summerlands Chuffer pipe
  • The new exhaust/chuff-pipe assembly was installed into the output port on the reversing valve
  • The reversing valve was reassembled
  • The smokebox and chimney assembly was installed onto the front of the engine frames
  • The footplating was added and bolted to the frame
