Work was carried out in mid April 2021 at Beckfoot Engine shed:
- The inspection pit roads were deep-cleaned and most of the filth was removed
- The tracks into and over the inspection pits were levelled because the whole trackbed had been sloping towards the lakeside
- Old rickety fencing was removed and replaced with a solidly fixed steel bar alongside No.1 shed road
