Steam loco No1 AB TITTY has now been taken out of store and moved into Low End Works for a major rebuild.
A new high-pressure boiler has been ordered from specialist manufacturer RWM Steam.
The following design modifications are planned for this loco:
- New boiler pressed to 40psi with water level sight glass and Goodall type water injection valve
- New regulator
- New 40psi safety valve
- Raised cab floor and new footplate
- Full width, full length running plate
- New wider cab
- New, heavier buffer beams
- New LPG fuel tank and associated pipework
