A shed roof has now been built up at Swallowdale to cover the single-road engine servicing point. And both SADMC battery mining locomotives have now been permanently allocated to Swallowdale Shed.
The main reason for the roof is to protect engines and trackwork from falling masonry from the nearby construction works going on over in neighbouring landowner's land.
