No1 A B Titty is being converted from being a side-tank locomotive to a saddle tank.
This will hopefully help to retain heat from the fire and improve thermal efficiency when compared to the original side tank design.
The new saddle tank was fabricated from 1mm mild steel sheet (scrap) based on a 3D cardboard pattern.
