As per loco No1 it was decided to move the fuel tank to the rear of the cab. This keeps it cool and prevents the need to constantly adjust the fuel valve when under way. Method of manufacture was:
- Make pattern for mounting bracket in card
- Mark out steel sheet from card template and cut to size
- Bend steel to shape
- Fix mounting bracket onto inside of rear starboard-side cab back-sheet using rivets
