The regulator hand wheel on Bridget the Tram was still a bit too hot to handle. So Bridget was briefly returned to Low End Works for modification as follows:
- An insulated handwheel rim was made out of plastic recovered from a Domestos bleach bottle cap
- An insulation ferrule was made from the plastic tube attached to the push valve on hand soap bottle and fitted between the handwheel and the regulator spindle
The ferrule may or not be made from silicone but anyway it works well as an insulator and hasn't melted yet.
