Battery mining loco DOT has been taken out of service and into Low End Works for a rebuild. This will involve:
- Extending the outside frames to make the loco longer and increase the low level floor area in the cab
- Replacing/rebuilding the cab
- Fitting new electrical control gear (speed controller)
- May require the separate battery for the lights to be resited
